If you’re a farmer getting help from the PM-Kisan Scheme, there’s something important you need to do: complete your e-KYC. Without it, your ₹6,000 yearly benefit might stop!

🌾 What is PM-Kisan?

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) is a government scheme that gives ₹6,000 per year to eligible farmers. This money is sent directly to your bank account in three parts — ₹2,000 every four months.

But to keep getting this money, you now need to complete your e-KYC.

e-KYC (Electronic Know Your Customer) is a way to verify your identity using your Aadhaar card. It helps the government make sure the right people are getting the benefits and prevents fraud or duplicate payments.

  • A mobile number linked with Aadhaar (for OTP)

  2. Click on “e-KYC” under Farmers Corner

  3. Enter your Aadhaar number

  4. You’ll get a one-time password (OTP) on your phone

  5. Enter the OTP and submit

Done! Your e-KYC is now complete.




🏢 Option 2: Visit a CSC (if your mobile isn’t linked)

If your phone number isn’t linked to Aadhaar:

  1. Visit your nearest Common Service Center (CSC)

  2. Bring your Aadhaar card

  3. They’ll do biometric verification (thumbprint)

  4. Once verified, your e-KYC will be updated

Yes — the government usually sets a last date to complete e-KYC for each installment. To avoid missing out, it’s best to do it as soon as possible. You can check the deadline from your local agriculture office or nearby CSC.
